The deal, valued at SEK 2 million in upfront cash with an additional SEK 2–3 million in annual revenues over the coming years, is one of the highest of its kind in the sector to date. It underscores the value Elaway places on ChargeBuddy’s track record, future ambitions, and the team that built the success.

Elaway will now take over operations, support, and continued development of the service – both for existing app users and future ChargeBuddy customers, who will be migrated to Elaway’s platform. ChargeBuddy will continue to focus on installation and project management of charging infrastructure and energy storage – areas where the company has deep expertise and a strong market position.

CEO Joel Halling commented:

“During 2024, we launched ChargeBuddy GO. In less than a year we’ve delivered at a very high level, which made this transaction and sale of our customer base possible. Over the same period, we welcomed close to 1,000 users – the pace of growth makes me very proud. With Elaway as a partner, our customers will benefit from an even stronger operations and support solution, while we continue to focus on installation and project management. The deal will also provide us with recurring revenues and strengthen our EBITDA over the coming years, creating even better conditions for our continued growth. I look forward to a long-term collaboration with Elaway.”

The transaction marks an important step in meeting the increasing demand for sustainable and reliable charging infrastructure. Together with Elaway, ChargeBuddy can contribute to accelerating the green transition and raising the standard for service and accessibility in EV charging.
